“My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero) the Movie: World Heroes’ Mission” is once again the number one anime film in Japan.
The film was only fourth in terms of ticket sales for a few weeks, making up for the slump during the sixth weekend of its theatrical release.
Anime News Network reports how “World Heroes’ Mission” earned a little over 155 million yen (or $1.41 million) between last Friday and Sunday alone. If we’re looking in terms of cumulative total, the anime movie has grossed 1.79 billion yen ($16.2 million) since it was first released in Japan on Aug. 6.
What this basically means is that “World Heroes’ Mission” is the highest-earning “My Hero Academia” movie out of all three.
